I am a writer and educator. As a (near) lifelong Lutheran, an LCMS trained educator, and an LCMS pastor’s wife, I often find myself writing about faith. Given my personal experience with chronic illness and mold toxicity, I am drawn toward the intersection of faith and suffering. I also gravitate toward the topics of Christian identity and the trials and beauty found in the pastor’s-wife-life.
I would be honored to speak at your next women’s retreat or pastors’ wives conference.

SPEAKING TOPICS

WAITING ON GOD
- Why would God leave us to wait in our suffering? Waiting is hard, but there is often purpose in the waiting. Whether we see it or not, God is at work while we wait. Even when we don’t understand the reason for our wait, God is FOR us. We are not alone. We are not forgotten in our pain. Rather, God is writing our story for our good…even in moments or seasons of suffering.
- This topic enables participants to share personal life experiences. I then direct the group to scripture for clarity and comfort regarding the suffering we experience this side of heaven.
THE STORY OF ALL THINGS AND YOU
- Your story is part of The Story of All Things. The greater narrative is one of love and sacrifice. It’s a tale of devotion, betrayal, redemption, and victory. A masterful creator is writing The Story of All Things. This same Creator cast all things into existence. He planned for you and for me. This same Creator sees our personal stories and the delicate threads that meticulously weave each one of us into The Story of All Things. You matter by design.
- This topic allows time for directed, timed journal writing as participants reflect on the story arc of their life thus far. I provide ample time for discussion. I also use scripture throughout as I help the participants to understand their identity in Christ, their God-given purpose, and their relationship with the Author of all things.
CALLED TO BE…
- God calls a pastor to serve a congregation. But what about his wife? Is she also called? To do what? Together, let’s understand the vocation of “pastor’s wife.” This role is unique and beautiful, but not without trials. How might one persist through hardship when feelings of rejection, anger, bitterness, or pain are larger than any joy or peace found at church? Let’s be renewed to serve and support our husbands as they serve the church.
- This topic is specific to pastors’ wives. The Bible study and discussions that ensue are private and should not be carried beyond the walls of the event center. I will only present this topic to an audience of pastors’ wives.
