Real Food, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, IBD-AID (Phase II: omit chocolate and sprinkles)
These Frozen Banana Pops make a great treat for birthdays, holidays, or hot summer days. They are made with unflavored, unsweetened coconut yogurt, dark chocolate chips, and dye free sprinkles. By sourcing the right ingredients, these are gluten free and dairy free too.
Last summer, I bought the Diana’s Chocolate Covered Frozen Bananas from the Aldi Finds case at my local store. They were good, but pricey…almost $1 per treat! These Frozen Banana Pops can definitely be made cheaper at home. Plus, they’re easy to make. My son likes to do this. It makes for a fun afternoon project.
I make an effort to limit our sugar throughout the week. These can be made very low sugar if you just choose yogurt and sprinkles with a little chocolate drizzle. They are sweet no matter what toppings you choose. The bananas provide plenty of sweetness.
